3D scanning- pushing limits of technology
Professor Denis Laurendeau, from the Electric Engineering and Computer Engineering Department, and his team  at the Université Laval, Quebec, Canada, have launched the NSERC/Creaform Industrial Research Chair on 3D Scanning.

With a total budget of $2.7 million over five years,  the 3D-CREATION Chair will focus its work on three major lines of investigation: intelligent multisensory data acquisition, modelling and recognition (geometry, appearance, movement, behaviour) and visualization and action (of web applications, for instance).
