AppliedSPC software, from Applied Industrial Systems, links to existing plant automation - so that SPC alarms and trends become an integral part of operations. This provides operators with early warning of process variability that could lead to quality problems or loss of yield.

The new Wheelprobe series of ultrasonic transducers from Sonatest, have been developed in conjunction with leaders in aerospace technology. Focussing on the increased use of composite materials, the probes enable rapid and intuitive scanning in the testing environment.

Latest addition to the BondaScope range of BondTesters from Advanced NDT, is the New BondaScope 3100 -  a  full multi-mode, ultrasonic bond tester.

The HIT230F instrumented falling / drop weight impact tester  from Zwixk is designed for multiaxial impact tests and pre-damaging for compression-after-impact tests.

Researchers in India have been investigating the nano tensile properties of human hair using an LFPlus single column materials testing machine and NEXYGENPlus control and analysis software from Lloyd Instruments. Using a specially designed winding grip to secure the sample, individual hairs undergo ‘pull to break’ tests to determine Young’s modulus, yield stress and tensile strength.

The Bareiss IRHD MICRO Compact III bench hardness tester provides test results on parts such as thin walled rubber O rings and soft elastic moulded parts with material thickness from 0.6 mm.

The Aspen Licensing Center is being introduced in conjunction with aspenONE V7, a new software release that enables process industry companies to achieve the seven best practices of engineering excellence.
