Renishaw has added a new probe option to its revolutionary REVO® five-axis measurement system, which for the first time, allows surface finish inspection to be fully integrated within CMM measurement routines.

From ship engines to gears for construction equipment to giant wind turbines - the MMZ coordinate measuring machine from Carl Zeiss can measure large parts with narrow tolerances. The MMZ T, which does not require an additional foundation, can support parts weighing up to 10 tons.

The EdgeMaster, from Alicona, is an optical non-contact 3D measurement device for the fast and accurate measurement of cutting edges. Critical dimensions such as radii and angles can be measured quickly and robustly. Edge radii >3µm can be measured with a vertical resolution of up to 10nm.

DektakXT, a new stylus profiler from Bruker claims to be the first production system with sustained repeatability of under five angstroms. The tenth generation of Dektak systems, DektakXT has a single-arch design with enhanced metrology features, the first 64-bit, parallel processing software architecture (Bruker’s intuitive Vision64 operating and analysis software) and a true-colour, HD resolution camera.

With the new 3D fibre probe, the range of applications of the Werth Fibre Probe technology has expanded to additional measurement tasks, particularly in 3D.
