Dantec Dynamics will be giving a UK launch to two new systems at the Advanced Engineering UK 2011 events being held at the NEC, Birmingham 9-10th November.

Renishaw has added a new probe option to its revolutionary REVO® five-axis measurement system, which for the first time, allows surface finish inspection to be fully integrated within CMM measurement routines.

From ship engines to gears for construction equipment to giant wind turbines - the MMZ coordinate measuring machine from Carl Zeiss can measure large parts with narrow tolerances. The MMZ T, which does not require an additional foundation, can support parts weighing up to 10 tons.

The new powerful x-ray CT system from MatriX Technologies has an innovative spiral CT X-ray system for industrial applications. The new XCTube series is capable of completing scanning  in seconds (< 30 sec. depending on the specimen). So inline CT becomes interesting for the automotive industry, especially for100% inspection of safety relevant aluminum castings, such as. chassis or power train parts. Other applications can be found in the aviation industry with the inspection of rotor blades and aircraft turbines.

Hexagon Metrology has released  CoreView 5.5 for its Cognitens WLS400 automated and manual white light measurement systems. The new version offers improved capabilities in measuring a work piece’s geometric characteristics as well as 2D cross section analysis tools.

Delcam has introduced an online guide to the developments in the 2011 version of its PowerINSPECT inspection software.

The EdgeMaster, from Alicona, is an optical non-contact 3D measurement device for the fast and accurate measurement of cutting edges. Critical dimensions such as radii and angles can be measured quickly and robustly. Edge radii >3µm can be measured with a vertical resolution of up to 10nm.

FEI Company’s Versa 3D DualBeam system provides high-resolution, three-dimensional (3D) imaging and analysis on a wide range of sample types.

DektakXT, a new stylus profiler  from Bruker claims to be the first production system with sustained repeatability of under five angstroms. The tenth generation of Dektak systems, DektakXT has  a single-arch design with enhanced metrology features, the first 64-bit, parallel processing software architecture (Bruker’s intuitive Vision64 operating and analysis software) and a true-colour, HD resolution camera.

With the new 3D fibre probe, the range of applications of the  Werth Fibre Probe technology has expanded to additional measurement tasks, particularly in 3D.
